Attorney Chelsea Wallace Koss was born and raised in Alpena, Michigan. She graduated from Alpena High School in 2006 and then headed north to Lake Superior State University, making her the third generation of Wallaces to attend the Sault Ste. Marie campus. Her time at LSSU helped embed a love for the Upper Peninsula and its natural beauty. And, in the summer of 2009, she was the first to graduate from LSSU with a degree in Business Administration - Legal Management, a program that had been approved by the American Bar Association.
After graduating with her undergraduate degree, she went on to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School, at both the Lansing and Grand Rapids campus, where she concentrated her studies on business transactions. While at Cooley, Chelsea had an externship with its Public Sector Law Project where she was able to gain knowledge regarding the Freedom of Information Act and drafting contracts. She graduated Cum Laude from Cooley in the Spring of 2012 then headed back north to Alpena post-Bar exam. While waiting for results from the exam, she was hired by First Federal of Northern Michigan (FFNM) to review post-close loans to ensure all guidelines were met. She was admitted into the Michigan State Bar in November of 2012 and then offered a multi-faceted role at FFNM, which allowed her to frequently come into contact with contract review, negotiations with third-party vendors, risk analysis, policy and procedure drafting, and legal issues.
Though she enjoyed her time with FFNM, when the opportunity arose to join fellow attorney and brother, Dylan J. Wallace, in his venture to open The Wallace Firm, P.C., she was excited to accept.
In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending quality time with her family, her zoo, and close friends... usually with a camera in-hand or close by.
