Sean was born and raised in Alpena. He graduated from Alpena High School in 2003. In 2007, he graduated with honors from Eastern Michigan University with a double major in journalism and political science. Prior to becoming an attorney, Sean spent several years working as a journalist in Michigan, Wyoming, and Washington.
In 2016, Sean graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, WA. While at Gonzaga, he served as an associate editor of Gonzaga Law Review and received the school's pro bono distinction. At different periods during law school, Sean worked as a law clerk in Spokane County Superior Court, an intern with the Washington Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and as a research assistant for a Gonzaga Law professor.
For about six years, Sean worked for a well-respected firm in Spokane and represented municipalities and school districts throughout Washington in civil litigation. For three years, he served as a senior assistant attorney general in the Wyoming Attorney General's office. His primary responsibility there was representing the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services in workers' compensation litigation. He also assisted the state's tort division and prosecuted cases involving the licensure of police officers and school teachers.
Sean joined the Wallace Firm in the fall of 2025. He looks forward to serving the legal needs of the people of Northeast Michigan.
In his spare time, Sean enjoys road biking, listening to music, and spending time with his wife and their ever-evolving roster of cats, which at any given time may include foster cats or neighborhood strays. He supports the Detroit Red Wings, Gonzaga basketball, and Spokane Chiefs hockey.
