Attorney Emilee M. Manning was born and raised in Alpena, Michigan. Emilee graduated from Alpena High School, with honors, in 2011. In 2013 she graduated from Alpena Community College with an Associates Degree in Pre-Law and finished her undergraduate career at Lake Superior State University in 2015, majoring in Political Science with a Pre-Law concentration.
After graduating with her undergraduate degree, Emilee then left the comfort of Northern Michigan and moved to Valparaiso, Indiana to attend Valparaiso University Law School, graduating in 2018. During the summers in law school, Emilee would return to Alpena and completed an internship and externship working in the office of the court appointed attorneys, taking on misdemeanor cases and acting as Lawyer Guardian Ad Litem for child protective proceedings. During the summer of 2016, Emilee worked with local attorneys, judges, and other court staff to get the Montmorency County Veteran’s Treatment Court running. After graduating from law school she moved back to Alpena where she studied for the Michigan Bar Exam and was sworn into the Michigan Bar in November 2020. Emilee helped bridge the gap while Alpena and Montmorency Counties were transitioning to establishing the Public Defender’s office until she was brought on at The Wallace Firm, P.C.
In her free time, Emilee spends as much time as possible outdoors while hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying everything Northern Michigan has to offer.
